He had achieved a big milestone and she had stood by him through the thick and thin, now he wanted to gift her something as special as her and he came across this super gorgeous and alluring cream color Kanjivaram saree. What makes it special? the authentic Parsi Gara hand embroidery on the border and pallu of the saree. The Parsi Gara embroidery is famous for its precision and floral motifs which look like a painting on a canvas, while the designs are actually hand embroidered using threads.

The Unique artistic tradition of "Parsi Embroidery" also called "Gara Embroidery" had its roots in Iran in the Bronze Age. In India, it gained prominence in the 19th century when Parsi merchants brought back uniquely embroidered pieces of Chinese silk from China. The Parsi women who by then had adopted the Indian Saree as their attire, got their sarees uniquely embroidered. They wore these embroidered sarees fashionably as a challenge to the European dress worn by English women at parties.

Parsi Gara work is done with such care and precision that it's also known as painting with threads.

Set in Heirloom kanjivaram in Cream, this is a saree connoisseur's collector piece!

Sequins are embellished by hand and add sparkle!
