This ombre-shaded exquisite saree is a testament to our rich textile traditions. First, a plain saree with zari is produced on the loom in Varanasi, UP. Then the saree is transported all the way to Gujarat where the tie & dye work happens. Thousands of grains are tied into the saree with threads and then the saree is resist dyed. You will notice that the circles are very small and dense; only skilled karigars are able to achieve this.
The saree is then sent back to Varanasi where it is polished and finished. In this drape, the densely woven geometric pattern in zari is interspersed with Bandhej work. The self zari border features floral vines which accentuates the prettiness. This saree has pure georgette yarn derived from pure natural silk to produce this matt finish fiber.
