Bandej is a traditional method of dying the saree by tying up knots at various places and dipping them in fabric dyes, once dry the knots are untied to reveal beautiful patterns made by resist dyeing.
Apart from traditional Bandej work which has been done with utmost precision this saree also carries gold zari work on elephant motifs all over the body of the saree and some breathtaking floral and paisley motifs in the border and pallu.
