Kalamkari is a type of hand-painted cotton. Its Origin from Andhra Pradesh state in India. These are prepared in stages starting with soaking the fabric in milk to prepare it for soaking dyes. Then the outline is screen printed after which the dyes are hand painted using a pen.
This classy kalamkari dupatta features the Ram darbar along the ends of the duppatta with floral design on the body with muted gold border.
• Base Fabric: Mangalagiri Cotton
This is an authentic handmade item where the fabric is washed multiple times in the process, the dyes used are handpainted into the fabric and hence slight inconsistencies and stains are inevitable and hallmarks of an authentic handmade product.
