Woven in Banaras, with pure natural silk georgette. The checks in the body have an intricate zari pattern. Each grid in the saree features 25 minute Bandhej dots and one larger central one, all resist tied and dyed by hand.
The saree is Silk Mark Certified for authenticity.
It is ready to wear with falls and pico done. Hand knotted tassels add charm. An unstitched blouse fabric is included.

Gharchola is the traditional name for the saree that a newly-wed bride in parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan adorns when she steps into her new home. The saree is made of two words - 'Ghar' which means home, and 'Chola' which means attire. Thus, the Gharchola sarees have a special place in some aspects of Indian culture.
