Great craftsmanship, showcased in a Pochampalli silk saree featuring attractive orange hues. Etchings in the traditional Ikkat style adorn the body of the saree. Its grace and elegance are exemplified by a wide and brilliantly bold border, which features lustrous zari work along with traditional depictions of deer.
This saree includes an unstitched blouse fabric. It is ready to wear with fall and pico done. Shobitam signature tassels have been added to sway with every move of the pallu and lend more charm to it.
This is a handmade product and any slight inconsistencies in weaving are natural and add to the individuality of the product.
There may be minor variations in the shade, the texture of the product. Hues/textures show differently based on ambient lighting, gadget settings, color correction, etc.
The silk used to make this saree is authentic and of the highest quality. It is Silk Mark Certified for the assurance of quality to our patrons.
About the weave: The Pochampally is a traditional Ikat silk saree from the Telangana (previously Andhra Pradesh) region in southern India. These sarees are handwoven on looms which are often in excess of 100 years old! The Ikat weave of the fabric and the intricate tie and dye process are skills unto themselves, mastered by craftsmen over centuries to create the perfect Pochampally.
