Kantha, a unique art form native to the Eastern part of India and Bangladesh, that has been practiced for centuries. Generally womenfolk gather together and sew fabric scraps to form applique designs and form running stitches either linearly or into motifs.
This Kantha work comes in a Black Shade on art silk and features floral and foliage patterns with a minimalistic border framing the edges.
The saree is ready to wear with falls and pico done. An unstitched blouse fabric as seen in the last picture is included.
****NOTE: HANDMADE PRODUCT ****** Also, since these are handmade, there may be slight stencil marks and other inconsistencies such as in the stitched that are not considered as defects. There may be minor variations in the shade, the texture of the product. Hues/textures show differently based on ambient lighting, gadget settings, etc.
