Item:Saree and unstitched blouse fabric Color : Purple Fabric: Viscose Georgette
With fewer and fewer skilled artisans left who have mastery over the centuries old hand chikankari style of embroidery, good quality hand chikankari sarees are getting rarer and more prized by the day.
This saree comes with white thread embroidery that is done carefully to not cause larger than needed holes. The saree is embroidered end to end sparing a few inches only in the part that gets tucked in. The dense full jaal work on the saree takes several days to complete. Dainty mukeish work highlights are added. An elegant and neatly finished satin trim adds charm. Pico is done. The satin trim acts as the falls. Please note that the dense work causes some scrunching and the width of this saree is about 42” in the pleats area.
Comes with a matching unstitched blouse piece with work on the sleeves.
Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh is the heart of these world famous sarees. This tradition of forming patterns on georgette completely by hand was brought by the Mughals. These sarees are exquisite because of the amount of manual labor and skilled craftsmanship involved in creating these beauties.
*Note: There may be minor variations in the shade, the texture of the product. Hues/textures show differently based on ambient lighting, gadget settings, color correction etc.
* Note: this is an authentic handmade saree involving a lot of human involvement. Slight inconsistencies may be present.
