Kalamkari is a type of hand-painted cotton textile produced in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Rustic dyes are used in Kalamkari, which involves twenty-three steps. There are two distinctive styles of Kalamkari art in India – Machilipatnam style and Srikalahasti style.
