Ikkat is a noteworthy Textile patterning technique that is believed to have its roots in South East Asia and then found to have its way in few parts of the world.
In the Ikkat technique the yarns are resist dyed using complex caluculations prior to weaving and the 2 step procedure of resist dyeing and then weaving produces motifs uniquely identified by jagged outlines.
Presenting a pure Ikkat Silk Saree handwoven in Pochampally in striking shades of Blue and Red. Chevron patterns woven employing the Ikkkat technique add a contemporary touch and the pallu and blouse piece feature Ikkat rain drop motifs.
The saree is ready to wear with falls and pico done. Signature tassels lend more charm! An unstitched blouse fabric is included.
