Katan silk has a smooth texture; woven with pure silk threads, it's a timeless choice for special occasions. The red color imparts a vibrancy and richness to the fabric, while intricately-wrought zari (metallic threads of gold or silver) adorns the fabric with beautiful patterns. Further, Meenakari refers to the addition of colorful enamel, creating additional textures and details. Resham silk thread is also used to provide luxurious richness and texture to the fabric. Floral motifs crafted with Meenakari enamel and zari brocade add traditional charm and elegance to the saree's border and pallu.
