This Sambalpuri silk saree is no less than a piece of art! Its Teal Green body is adorned with a variety of depictions from nature such as peacocks and leaves, apart from traditional hutments. These are complemented by recurring patterns across the length of the saree. The saree creates a canvas on which beautiful colors and patterns play, almost telling a story. The saree is hand-woven in Odisha and features prominent temple designs on the contrasting red border.
This saree does not include a blouse. The saree is ready to wear with fall and pico done. Shobitam Signature tassels lend more charm to the pallu.
This is a handmade product and any slight inconsistencies in weaving are natural and add to the individuality of the product.
There may be minor variations in the shade, the texture of the product. Hues/textures show differently based on ambient lighting, gadget settings, color correction, etc.
About the weave: Sambalpuri silk originated from Odisha in India. The motifs and patterns that adorn the body of the saree have deep symbolism and significance in the native Odia culture.
