Born in the holy city of Varanasi, the Banarasi silk is one of the exquisite types of sarees from India.  The regal charm it exudes makes it a prized possession in one’s wardrobe. Popularized during the Mughal era the sophisticated weaving techniques, splendid detailing, and the fine zari work of a Banarasi have never gone out of fashion ever since its birth. The ever-in-demand Banarasi has evolved over time to suit the needs of modern women and continues to dominate the ethnic fashion scene.

In this iridescent tissue saree, the Meenakari work is extensively used in the body to highlight the Leheriya or the wave pattern .The biggest specialty of this saree is that it has scalloped borders which makes this saree stand out when worn!
