About the weave:
Kanjivaram silk originated from the Kanchipuram village in Tamil Nadu in southern India. It has an almost mythical stature and is made from mulberry silk. The Kanjivaram is a premium silk saree usually worn at weddings or other special occasions exclusively. The timeless elegance of Kanjivaram sarees is accentuated by the intricate zari work that adorns their border and body.
