Pochampally Ikkat indeed holds a rich heritage, blending intricate craftsmanship with timeless elegance.

Starting with the resist dyeing of silk yarn, artisans employ traditional techniques to achieve vibrant and distinct hues. This method results in segments of yarn adorned with intricate patterns, reflecting the cultural motifs and artistic vision of the weavers.

The weaving process is equally fascinating, as skilled craftsmen employ complex calculations to meticulously intertwine the dyed yarn, bringing to life the mesmerizing geometric and floral patterns characteristic of Ikkat textiles. This meticulous weaving process not only requires technical precision but also a deep understanding of design aesthetics.

The Blue  body of the drape features a traditional Ikkat design. Crafted in luxurious Kanjivaram silk, the border of the saree plays its part in making this drape a prized possession and fine zari detailing in Kanjivaram style.
