Born in the holy city of Varanasi, the Banarasi silk is one of the exquisite types of sarees from India.  The regal charm it exudes makes it a prized possession in one’s wardrobe. Popularized during the Mughal era the sophisticated weaving techniques, splendid embroidery, and the fine zari work of a Banarasi have never gone out of fashion ever since its birth. The ever-in-demand Banarsi has evolved over time to suit the needs of modern women and continues to dominate the ethnic fashion scene.

The Sona  gives silver and gold highlights to the Banarasi weave is a renowned technique that has withstood the test of time. This painstaking technique enhances the timelessness of a Banarasi by manifolds. In this saree, the Alfi work is extensively used in the body and the pallu to highlight the Leheriya or the wave pattern.

The buttery soft Katan silk fabric gives the saree a lustrous look and makes it a fuss-free drape. The pastel color combinations and Zari highlights give a luxurious touch to this saree.
