Pochumpally Ikkat has a long history and is a highly sought-after design these days. Crafting this fabric involves a 2 step process. In the first step, segments of silk yarn are carefully resist dyed in several different dyes one after the other. Then they are woven to yield beautiful and rigid geometric patterns using complex calculations.
The saree that you have chosen is completely handwoven and comes in a beautiful shade of henna Green-Red dual tone. The body of the drape is contemporary waves and a traditional Ikkat design near the border. Crafted in Kanjivaram silk, the border of the saree plays its part in making this drape a prized possession of fine zari detailing in Kanjivaram style.

This saree is ready to wear with fall and pico done. Handmade silk tassels adorn the pallu and add more grace to it. An unstitched blouse fabric is included.
