Patola is a renowned textile originating from Gujarat, with intricately woven designs made using differently dyed warp and weft yarns. Its name is derived from the Sanskrit word 'pattal', meaning a spindle-shaped gourd. Popular designs include "Rattan Chowk", "Narikunjar", depicting dancing girls, parrots, and elephants, "Chhabri" with four elephant motifs, "Waghkunjar" with tiger and elephant patterns, and "Wadi bhaff" featuring flowers and creeper designs.
